Bladesmithing is the art of making knives, swords, daggers and other blades using a forge, hammer, anvil, and other smithing tools. Bladesmiths employ a variety of metalworking techniques similar to those used by blacksmiths, as well as woodworking for knife and sword handles, and often leatherworking for sheaths.

At the Medieval Fayre, you can watch bladesmithing in a hot forge as our blademasters display their craft during the event.

Our bladesmiths do everything from hand forged knives and cutlery to wrought iron projects made to specification; hand made knife courses & Black-smithing.

The Medieval Fayre is proud to say that the Forges have become a firm favourite and fixture at the Fayre!
